IMPORTANT: Please
see that the person responsible for camp promotion reads this information and
that all campers have seen the rules and dress codes
and agree with them before coming to camp.
PRE-REGISTRATION: Registration forms are included at the bottom of this page. Please place the names of the campers and sponsors on the form and send this along with $5.00 per person to the camp at least one week prior to your camp date. Each camper not registered at least one week before the camp date will be charged a $5.00 late fee. No registration will be accepted by phone, but if you have changes that need to be made after your registration has been mailed, you may make those changes by phone, fax, or e-mail. Pre-registration for summer camps will not be accepted before May 1st. If you want to be housed with another church group or want to be housed in the dorms, please indicate that somewhere on your registration form. Do not wait until you get to camp to inform us of special housing requests or needs because the cabins will have already been assigned. Any changes in housing needs that are made after you get to camp will slow down the registration process.
REGISTRATION:
Each camp group begins registration at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and the camp
concludes on Friday morning. The
first meal served is the evening meal on Tuesday and the last meal is breakfast
or brunch on Friday. No group is to
arrive on the campgrounds before 12 noon on the day you register. No group will occupy their cabin
until they have personally registered and paid their camp fees at the camp
office.
MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS: Each camper must fill out a form and turn it in at the office in order to be registered and insured. Forms are included at the bottom of this page.
CAMPER INSURANCE: Covers all accidents and illnesses except those that are preexisting conditions. This coverage is limited to $3,000.00 for each incident and covers them while they are on the campgrounds.
PROGRAMS: The camp dates, fees and activities are listed in this site. Schedules will be available at the camp office when you register.
WHAT TO BRING: Bed linens, blanket, towels and wash cloths, pillow, Bible, notebook and pencil, swimsuit (one-piece or T-shirt cover), camera, umbrella, ball glove and SPENDING MONEY. Dress for the week is casual but modest.
WHAT TO LEAVE AT HOME: Laser pointers, skateboards, scooters, firearms, fireworks, water pistols or balloons, alcoholic drinks, drugs or tobacco in any form. Do not allow your group to bring toilet articles such as shaving crème or toothpaste to be used for pranks. This will not be tolerated. SPONSORS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DRESS AND BEHAVIOR OF THEIR GROUP.
DRESS CODE: The dress code permits casual wear all week with shorts permitted during the daytime. No shorts will be permitted during the preaching services. The length of the shorts MUST be to within one hand’s width (approximately 4 inches) of the top of the knee. Tank tops or revealing clothes are not to be worn. T-shirts or caps cannot promote alcohol, tobacco and drug use or display undesirable messages. Caps should not be worn in the cafeteria or worship center. Pants will be worn at the waist. . . no saggin’ or baggin’.
CARE OF THE BUILDINGS: We expect all buildings and contents to be taken care of. Sponsors must see that their kids do not jump on the beds or enter other cabins that have not been assigned to them.
ALL CABINS AIR-CONDITIONED:
The dorms have central air and all the cabins have window units.
The dress code that we have adopted is very lenient and applies to both camper and sponsor. Over the past few years, we have had some sponsors who have not followed the dress code as we expect the campers too and so this is a reminder to the sponsors before it becomes a problem. Our dress code does not cover earrings on guys or other body piercings and so I am going to appeal to the leaders to control this before we have to make this a part of our dress code. You, personally, may not have a problem with them but we have to serve a wide range of cultures just in the BMAA and it will keep this from being a distraction and fashion statement where one does not need to be made.
Campers are required to remain in their cabins after lights are out, but there are some who want to “sneak out” at night, sometimes with the approval of the sponsor; even though it is against camp rules. Because of increasing concern for safety, both from our insurance carrier and us, we will hire security guards to be on the campgrounds at night. Those who choose to disobey this rule will be sent home immediately. We cannot allow the safety of all to be jeopardized by a few.
